Sound Doctrine is a Sydney based music blog dedicated to bringing subjectively obscure but objectively awesome music to dependable, everyday folk who don't have time to trawl the internet for new music every other day. I guess if I had to get specific I'd say that for the most part I write about (and stream) folk, indie-pop and the odd speck of electro. More often than not I'll find away to deliver a free (legal) mp3 from the artist I write about. I don't do this because I'm trying to promote an artist (though that factors into it), I do it because I have a heart for social justice and I know that you're reading this from an internet cafe, with 13 minutes of net time left, paid for from the two dollar coin you earned busking in the tunnel at central station. We can't all afford to splash out on a full album every day.

If you think your music is pretty awesome (and that I'd think your music is pretty awesome) then shoot me an email at tommy[at]sounddoc[dot]net and maybe I'll write about it. Granted, Sound Doctrine is far from a Pitchfork writeup but you stupidly ordered 5,000 copies of your EP replicated and now you're left with a sizeable debt and no storage space so really, what have you to lose. NOTE: I'm a pretty choosey cat so if you do mail me your music and I don't write about it, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's not great, more likely it's just not my thing. So this is an early apology.
